Ladies and Gentlemen: We have tooth

At 8 months, 1 week, and 2 days, Silas cut his first tooth yesterday. He's been having a tough time at night, but has been mostly amiable during the day time. His gums have been super swollen. What's weird is that instead of being a bottom tooth or a top front tooth, it's a lateral incisor. Huh!

Ouch, poor guy! Those first ones are always tough. And you're right, it IS strange that it's not a top or bottom front...he's just doing it his own way, Mama! :)
